Ballscrew rework
|
| |
I've got an 'Acupath mill' ( Taiwanese import mill vintage 80's) with a trashed X axis ball screw. The move crew took it apart to get it in the room, the results was the little balls all over the inside of the knee. I think I have a way to fix it. This article also shows the increasing futility of attempting to provide for your self and your family while "playing by the... more »

Shotgun chamber D reamer?
|
| |
Picked up a 16ga SxS hammer gun yesterday. Steel (not damascus) barrels. Nothing fancy, made by Crescent but it's in great mechanical shape. Has the old 2 9/16" chamber length. I want to take it out to the standard 2 3/4" chamber. Brownell's wants $175 for the reamer, and I probably wouldn't use it twice in my lifetime.... more »

Ping Tom Gardner-Brush suggestion questions
|
| |
Tom, I dont know if you have been following the Miller Trailblazer 55G thread, but Im going to need some End Brushes to clean up a cast iron head, block and valve seats. [link] Brass? Steel? No idea of what a good wire size would be to use on cast iron. Ive got a 1/4" chuck die grinder that will run your 1/4" shank end... more »
